How do you keep the cleaning rod from falling out?

Very nice.  I have a russian para that has a folding stock that bubba got hold of.  Where can a person find a wooden para stock.  Would love to put a wood stock back on her.

It matters what bayo you want to use, the bayo slot is different for spike or blade. The blade is cut longer, the spike wider. I have one a spiker, but painted camo with matching camo HG. PAX

Doesn't matter for me since bubba cut off the bayo lug

Is a para stock any different from a standard length sks stock?

Other than that, it matters being for a long lug or pinned barrel. You can pull the FSB and put a lugged one on, if it's a neutered full length unit with 2 pins, and you want/have a bayo. PAX

I see it's Russian so any long lug stock will work. PAX

My only SKS. Picked it up about 5 years ago. Was told it was circa 1964. All numbers match. Perhaps someone here can tell me more about it. Sorry for the crappy pics. Took me quite a while to upload them, not how I usually do it. Thanks.

GrayMan, it might be acceptable here, as most Paras were done offshore at the factory? I wonder what the SKS Gods might chime in with?

Hey it's a "Gray Area"... Lol

But at the heart of the matter you are correct.

Should be OK. Here's a few black rifles, store bought and home brewed. I've got another spiker and a couple NIB blade units but haven't taken any pictures yet, then there's an 18 incher waiting in Kali jail. PAX

This is an as new Kengs Para Hunter with an adapted T89 & 2.5 Red Star. I've since replaced the scope with a 4X32 Leapers and put it in a Choate Drag (to save the stock furniture & collectable scope) and get a better cheek weld

My home built. P50, Williams (shown below), Tri Delta brake, Alby carrier, 5 rd mag

My first Para came like this. I've since put a bayo and rod on

It's a numbers matching stock, that Bubba painted matt crinkle black  :(, but I jumped on it anyway, as it was the first Para I'd seen. I have another early Sinobanian with black painted matching furniture. They don't bother me so much. It's better for them that they're owned by me. PAX
