Plan ahead for the 2019 October Shoot

Since we have several months to plan for the October shoot, which I guess will be the last full weekend in October, I expect it to be an epic event. 
You guys have more than enough time to recover from your small income tax refunds, lack of shooting practice over the winter, get your ammo loaded, and get all the necessary permissions to make the trip. 

I will miss seeing you guys in March, but missing one shoot will not dampen our enthusiasm.
See you in October.  Practice up, Rocketvapor and Swamplady will be coming for you.

Well, this will give me a chance to finally hone my equipment and skills to try for what I am calling "the unicorn."  The Unicorn is a mythical creature of great power and beauty.  In our case it would mean a complete sweep of all five competitions.  I've won three of them on separate occasions (Long Range, Combat Marksman, and SKS), and once came in second in the pistol comp.  I've never been able to compete in the vintage rifle comp due to never having an appropriate rifle, but hopefully this will change by October, so we'll see how it goes. 

Man it just hit me, but I have a feeling the amount of trash talking by that point will have reached epic proportions.

But wasn't that a hearing safe .308? The drop on that at 100y was like 6'.

But wasn't that a hearing safe .308? The drop on that at 100y was like 6'.

If I remember correctly it was bad with normal .308.

So, just lay the 450 yd target flat on the ground.
