I was finally able to make it to a gun show here in the Atlanta area this weekend. As it turns out there was a very big one right close to my apartment. For those of you from South Florida it was actually bigger than the ones they used to have at Coconut Grove Convention Center. Man, it was good to be able to go to one again. The last year, I couldn't go to any in Miami because it would just be an exercise in frustration as I had no money to spend on anything due to my employment situation. In fact, the couple I did go to were to sell some items, which really ran against the grain. I no longer have anything in 45 ACP after selling all my Llamas and the Commando Carbine (I also sold the UZI 45 bolt conversion on another forum).
Georgia Arms was there, who I haven't seen in a while (they stopped going to the Miami shows after the original owner sold it). This show had a bit of everything, including a lot of reloading supplies, a lot of used military gear and surplus items, but not as much as I would have liked in the terms of used guns which is what I always like to look through. I did see a pretty worn Kel-Tec P11 for a pretty good price. I also saw some SKS-M's with the thumbhole stock. One was going for $850, and another for about $650. Classic Arms was there, but they didn't have anything I'd be interested in. I really didn't plan to buy anything, it was just good to be back. It was just a way of getting my feet wet again. Maybe by the time the next one comes by in December I'll be in a better position to purchase.
