OK, Smart phone to the rescue :)
Monday night our 6Gb AT&T DSL started dropping out.
Pings almost a second, dropped packets.
Called for service and they sent a guy out yesterday.
Changed the 10+ year old modem, installed a BGW210-700 and got things going again.  6.4 down, .700 up, pings in the 30-40ms range.
He left and service fell off again about an hour later.  Sent another guy, did checks around the house then out down the wire route.
No internet access :(  So, on to the phones.
Was phone only on our trip to Texas, so I'm getting better with it :)
Turned on mine as a 'HotSpot'.  Actually much faster than the POTS line.
Now have a "Team" working on our problem.

Flo's other house is closer to the street and has AT&T Fiber, we've been told we don't live in an area with Fiber access.  We're about 700 feet further from the street than her other house.  Tech said he's installed 2000 foot runs with no problem.  Cousin in Law gave up on cable because of issues? Is now on a Verison Wifi.

We'll wait and see what AT&T comes up with.  Maybe get a T-Mobile (our cell carrier) home Wifi modem.
But, for now it's using the phone as a Hot Spot.

The "Team" found the communication problem.
It was communication.
Initial complaint and the AT&T Lady said she could get us 25Gb, cut $9 off our bill and would send a tech out in the morning.
25Gb? sure, right?
Seems we used to be 9000 ft out on a copper POTS line, 6Gb is about the upper limit.
Our complaint got us connected about 4000ft away but that did not show in the data the techs had.
Connection got screwed up.
We are now back on the internet.
Speed is good after modem did a software update.

Ain't 300Gb, but fast enough for us.
Might try two Smart TVs on Netflix tonight.

Now to reconnect all the devices to the new modem.
