Hi, I am looking for a gas pipe pin (upper arm guard pin). I think someone will have it. Looking forward to suggestions. Thanks.

Sometimes you can use a cut down finishing nail or pop rivet andsometimesyou can leave it off until you find something suitable, PAX

Are you referring to item #7 (below), or the rivet that holds the handguard onto the gas tube?

Hey Larry, I don't see a #7 in that picture.  What am I missing?

I was assuming he was talking about the pin that holds the handguard ferrule onto the handguard, and yes, as has been pointed out, you can use a finishing nail.  I've actually gotten pretty good at that one.  It's either a #6 or #8 nail and I insert it all the way as far as it will go, then I cut both sides with a dremel leaving a little sticking out of the "head" part.  Then I hit the head with a centering pin to get it spreading and proceed to pound it 'till it's good and riveted.  I then finish evening it out with a file and reblue if necessary.  I've done several like this and on most of them you couldn't tell it wasn't a factory riveted pin.

Maybe it's #1, and my eyes are not as good as they used to be.  On the other hand, the pic could be referring to the whole receiver or just the gas tube latch -- However, the line goes to the gas tube latch.

OK, I see it, I thought it was a 1.  Yeah, it might be a 7.  The part that I think he's talking about isn't numbered though.  Of course I could be wrong.
