10-or-less Spreadsheet

Being essentially FORCED to remove the original mag is moronic, isn't it? Since the 10-rnd fixed mag pretty much separates the SKS from true "assault" rifles...

Is there a way to modify the spreadsheet to account for the two disconecters in the SKS?  In the current setup it it doesn't account for them.

I had wished there was a way to retain the original 10-round fixed magazine while putting a new stock on a SKS (I like the look of the Choate Draganov stock).

Note that swapping out the original stock for a Drag stock should be fine on fixed mag SKS's except the Yugo M59/66 -- you only need to "win the 10-or-less-game" if you want to keep the bayo as well.  For more info, see the center column: http://www.victorinc.com/SKS-FAQ.html#_Toc98250439.

You are right - until more parts, especially internals are being produced in the US, adding a pistol grip stock will pretty much require replacement of the 10 rnd fixed magazine.

You're correct that folding stocks and "separate" pistol grips are the problem . . . As the FAQ says, 'now we just need to figure out what separate means'.  Does separate mean "unenclosed" (like a pined Choate folder), or does separate mean "attached" (as in bolted to the OEM SKS stock), or does separate mean "separate" (like on an AK) . . .

See the forth topic in the "10-or-less" section:  http://www.victorinc.com/SKS-FAQ.html#_Toc98250440

Until someone gets confirmation from ATF on the number of disconnectors, it's probably best to say that there are two . . .

You could add a row for each disconnector.  You could make the "disconnector" count as two parts.

Could someone elaborate on the "disconectors"? I don't understand what parts they are.

I picked up my first sks in 94< a Norenco> after the ban went into affect, I picked up a second < a russian > some years later.I picked up some toys to go with them. Some 30 round mags, rixed and detachable. The russain I set up for hunting. ram stalk , 5 round mag, short scope. T he norinco I wanted to put a folding ram stalk, and use the 30 rd mags. I thought I could after the ban was droped but reading here It doesnt sound like anything changed for my New Hampshire SKS.

Yeah,
The ten or less and laws talked about here are just the Federal laws.

You may have State laws that are as strict or stricter than the Feds depending on the state.
