Texas Question

Alright, I'm currently travelling around Texas. I'm from Illinois and got all the goodies that says I can own arms in the state of IL. I don't have a C&R / any kind of FFL........ But there is this really nice M44 I want with the serial number 1337 (hardcore gamers will recognize this and why I want it).

Who here has recent experience on buying a gun in Texas with an out of state DL? They still do that here in Texas right?

By law, an FFL in Texas can't sell to you unless you're from Texas or one of the surronding states.
