'55 Russian trigger group - issued solved, I think?
« on: July 13, 2011, 11:44:33 PM »
Hi Tom,

I contacted you today via phone with a question about a '55 Tula SKS. From what you told me, some Russians don't have a safety lever spring, is that correct? I may have one of those then. My Yugo and my Chinese, when pushing the safety lever to "on", make a nice little "click" sound and lock up. With the Russian, I ease the lever up until it can't go any longer.

I think that's the way it's supposed to be, I guess? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, earlier Russians had no safety spring. Pins holding the safety lever were a very tight running fit.
