When I was a kid I loved the snow, it was made to play in, drifts were made to walk on or dive into if soft.  Even later, sledding and skiing, even riding horses in it etc

I can't convey how far away from that kid I am right now.   old me    young me.

I feel for you folks up north in the cold.
Today the weather was supposed be cold (cold by South Louisiana standards) so we laid out extra layers for our morning 600yd match.
Got up and the weather report was warmer than predicted so most of the cold weather stuff got left at home. 
Flo had used the truck to help out some friends and to make room had also taken out unnecessary stuff to make room. 
Guess what? The original weather report was correct.  42F, drizzels/rain until about 10Am, and it did NOT warm up. 
I know low 40s ain't cold, but I was shivering and it showed in my score.  She beat me again

October came around and I was so used to the 90s and triple digits we had all summer I was freezing at 70 for a few days.  Now I would probably run around nekid if we hit that.

 I would rather have it zero and calm, than 25 with a 25 mph breeze though.

Ive been out in the weather all week so I’m hibernating indoors today, well till I have to go restock the firewood (and check the mail).

Even down here in South Louisiana it's gonna get into the teens.  For us that's cold.  Flo and I went out (55F)yesterday and today with the ladder and picked about 60 pounds of oranges from the single orange tree we have.  This was probably the biggest harvest so far.

Yeah it's bad for everything that doesn't normally freeze when it gets below freezing a ways.  We are used to cold weather, just not this cold. And we had just enough snow to drift again.     This is the stuff they normally reserve for about 5 degrees parallel farther north.
