I have seen those on ebay. I think the description says made in usa if not there are some on amazon that are. I think all the ventilated ones are us made.

Ok, I found one of these Cheese Grater handguards that is made in the US and bought it. Now here it my question, since it has no where on the part stamped made in the US how can I show that it really is made here. The packaging states on it Made in USA but that is all I have. I know that the chance of me being busted for a 922r violation isn't that high, I just want to cover all my bases.

Just keep the receipt or package and you should be okay. I printed all my receipts where I bought my 922R compliant stuff and put em all in a file folder and keep it filed away just in case.

What tnxd says is a good idea.

The one Redbirdgunparts sells is US made and I of the understanding all of the Cheese-grater HGs are.

THE UAG one I ordered off amazon came with a little insert in the bag that it came in that showed the instructions of how to install it and it said made in USA on the insert paper. I intend to file the insert away to just in case.

Yeah, UAG is Ultimate Arms who are also on Ebay. I think them and Redbird are about the only 2 selling those online much any more, at least in that kind of market environment.

This is the case as far as I can tell.

I got mine from SKSMan because when I spoke to him he said it was made in USA and while it isn't stamped on it, the package says Made in USA. SKSMan is a nice guy but he has had delay issues from time to time. I got lucky and I got my stuff from him in a couple of days.

I plan on making copies of my 922r compliance paperwork (receipts and package inserts, etc.) and filing the originals and carrying the copies with the gun. I know copies might not mean much in court but my hope is that I ever got questioned I would have something to show the agent on the spot and maybe he would leave me alone. I'd hate to get questioned and have no backup with me at all.
