I've always heard that the sheet metal used in the Chinese stamped receivers was a little thicker than that of the Euro AK's. It's late and I'm tired, so this may be a "duh" question, but, does the extra sheet metal thickness translate to wider OD measurements of the receiver? Or, does it mean narrower ID measurements inside the receiver? If the extra is on the outside, the Polish cover may not work. I suppose it would depend on how much extra clearance is "built in" with the Polish receiver covers for interchangeability on the battlefield.
Back when Global Trades/Armory USA was building receivers and rifles, they had an option to use a 1.6mm sheet metal thickness for your receiver. (As opposed to the standard 1.0mm) I never thought to ask about the dimension differences. Just wanted to throw that rambling nonsense thought in there.
