Npap safety lever problem
« on: January 09, 2016, 11:34:02 PM »
Iam brand new to the ak, I flipped the safety lever all the up and it popped out. I got the sheppards hook in right but the lever wont clear the trigger and it aint giving me any slack.
And suggestions as to what im goofing up?

If it's not going in there maybe an issue with how you installed the Shepard hook my advise is to replace it with a plate as mentioned in this video.

I found out how its suppose to go in, I just vant get the hook and lever to go together.

I know this isnt rocket surgery but its killing me.

Aftet cooling down and watching every video I could, I still cannot get the shepards hook to line up and get the lever in.

Im just going to buy the plate or whatever it is I need.

My only concern is even without the the shepards hook I cannot get my lever to clear the sear. I have read that people either grind the sear or lever ledge a bit.

Either the Tapco or the Krebs should work just fine.
