Npap safety lever help
« on: January 25, 2016, 12:07:47 PM »
I finally broke down and got the retainer plate.
I have everything where it needs to be but I cannot get the safety lever to go down.

It wont pass the trigger (or sear)

I have read that you either need to take the trigger out, install the safety lever and then the trigger or...

Shave a little off of the trigger (or sear), (not the first choice) or shave a bit of the safety lever to allow it to pass.

Safety levers are cheaper anyways if you screw up.

Iam pulling the trigger for extra leway but a very small shelf is in the way.

I feel like this is a no brainer, but Iam very new to the ak/akm family so this is my learner rifle.

Thank you,
Brokenhands

I watched the video and took my lever to the shop, clamed it in the vice and took my grinder to it.
Got the big chunk out of the way and finished it off with a small hand file.
The best is that it worked and went right back in and works perfectly.
