Russian izmash saiga prices
« on: November 02, 2019, 04:32:57 AM »
I was just browsing the online gun for sale sights and seen some crazy prices on saigas. No saigas in 223 or in 308. I was wondering how much they are worth.?

Since they were banned from import they are made of expensive unobtainium now.  The thing is, that element is not necessarily a quality component in itself,  just rare.

I have seen several used run of the mill converted saigas go for $750+, some nicer ones much higher.  Unconverted in the $600 range.

FWIW, I just recently sold a stock Saiga sporter for $900.

308 or 5.56/ 7.62x 49? The 308s bring more.

Yeah, the prices have gone nuts.  I got my first one, a 20" 7.62x39 for about $250 back when they came out, then around 2011 I was going through a buying phase and bought another 20" to convert to look like a PSL (still pending) for a base price of $332 then just two years later, I got a 16" one to convert to a collapsible stock configuration (also still pending) but this time, the base price was $445.  For some reason, the 20" ones were less desirable back when they were being imported.  Now, the prices have just skyrocketed.
I am the one they call Cesar.

I bought the Saigas in 308win with 16” & 21” barrels. And the 223 Saigas in 16” barrels in the beginning of the import. There all bone stock out of the box. I don’t see many I was wondering about there value.
