New to me WASR-10 . . . PK-01V
« on: December 08, 2019, 02:16:56 PM »
Tossed one of my PK-01V's on my "new to me" WASR-10 (2005 import).  The sight co-witnesses on my Saigas, but it's a touch too high to co-witness on the WASR.  This leads me to believe the factory scope rail on the WASR is a touch too high.

Any thoughts?

it looks like the front of the rail is about 0.020" higher than the rear.  That looks to be enough to mess up the co-witnessing.  Gotta love the PK-01V though, it has enough elevation adjustment to compensate!

Rails being off is a common issue on AK's as long as they are attached correctly most can be worked with when using a quality optic. What's the battery life like with that Russian style optic?

Supposed to be 500 hours.  For more info, see: https://russianoptics.net/PK01-V.html.

Still, loosing the co-witness is disappointing.
