Another new to me WASR-10

Picked up another WASR-10, this time off GunBroker.com for $500 shipped.  However, there's no cleaning rod or bayonet.  I didn't really need another one, but at that price I couldn't pass it up.  It looks to be a fresh 2018 factory build -- at least the S/N ends with "-18".  The finish and workmanship are much better than the mid-2K vintage one I picked up a month ago.  Whereas that one had a slight cant to the FSB and scope rail, this one look almost perfect.

What's really great is that it looks to be sporting a Bulgarian plum stock set.  All four components are the dark-dark plum color.  The butt stock also has the cleaning kit hole (no kit though)  Since I don't think they came that way, the synthetic furniture a nice plus.

Looks to be in really great shape!  Noticed the Bulgarian stock set right off.  :)  Happy Christmas to you!

Yeah good score with that furniture Set, the wood Century is putting on them now when they import them is complete garbage so that's a good upgrade.

Snuck out to the range today and gave it a try . . . <drum roll please> . . . 200 flawless rounds across four different magazines.  I was shooting at 50 yards and it was shooting really high.  Had to really adjust the front sight for elevation.  Apparently the previous owner didn't know about setting the rear sight for elevation and sighted it in high.

Very attractive AK you found.

The price you paid is certainly nice, but to me, as long as the price is not very unreasonable (for the market), the rifle's quality is the main objective.
I have four imported AKs, and still wish that I could try yours.

Enjoy some of the stored items now. Going to a recent funeral (age 49) reminded me of this. It could be you/I next time.
