Am I the only one creeped out by this? Remember a few years ago some corporation was experimenting with two AI computers and the AI came up with a language the researchers couldn't understand and had the pull the plug?

I miss the good old days before Terminator, The Matrix, Screamers, or whatever hell that turns into goes from a SiFi movie to documentary.

I was party to a Demonstration (I was not part of the design :( ) with an autonomous wheeled and armed vehicle.
Disabled the competing vehicle and hid behind it and pushing it and headed for the parking lot.
The designers where smart enough to build in a destruct charge.
I wonder how close the bot was to defeating that
Was a mean fight though. And this was in 2000 or so. 20 years ago.
Well I guess my new **** stirrin paddle don't work . I got a like . WTF 😈

Flo just received her EXPERT Mid range card from the NRA.

Give machines the ability to prioritize their own survival, and it only comes to one end. The 3 rules of robotics is fiction, logic dictates that survival is priority, and machines are simple logic.

He is controlled off camera by R/C 'remote control'. Think RC airplanes ... cars ... boats ... etc. Have you guys ever watched the show (I think) called 'Robot Wars', or something similar?

Kick it up a notch or even 2. Decades ago Alien craft over ND ICBM missile silos were able to shut down and prepare a launch remotely from the craft. ANYTHING that runs on an electrical current can be remotely controlled by anyone that has this advanced tech or advanced cranial abilities. I'm telling ya, we are like babies sucking on a lolly pop and you all know about taking candy away from one of those!  Inventing things that are SUPPOST to make life easier has defined limitations in a world of evil enterprises. XT, I wasn't making light of what you said, just offering up how it was done. This is light years ahead of simple R/C piloting. But the 'concept' is still the same.

There's a Clint Eastwood movie from the 80s called FireFox, about a Russian Jet that you pilot in part with your mind.  A lot of science fiction has some basis in fact.

I keep an open mind about this stuff. Stephen Hawking gave some pretty stern warnings about pushing AI too far.  I tend to agree with him.

5G is supposed to propel robotics into a state of rule over humans if these people aren’t careful. I don’t think they can help themselves, ego, evil minds, power hungry etc. Look how the dems used the radical left and now they are the democrat party.

Anyone purchase their ticket to Mars with Elon Musk yet?

The classic AI flick has to be Yul Brynner in West World.  Brynner was one of my gotta see actors back in the day...
