Recommendations for gunsight adjusting tool and Laser training cartridges.

I'm considering buying one or both of these. Appreciate recommendations, advice, and warnings.

I have a LaserLyte brand bore sighter.
Had it for 20 years.
Has worked great for me.
Comes with multiple collets to fit almost any caliber.
Don't remember where I got it or what it cost.
After this length of time, I doubt they still make this model.
The label says the company was in Cottonwood, Arizona.

I've used a couple of the laser cartridges. They didn't work as well for me.

I've got a couple of those, one came with a bunch of gun stuff. Mine have worked very well, especially on .308. PAX

Front and rear sights on my pistols. I tried using wood and brass punches, and had no success with those methods.

I have used a relatively cheap Ebay sight pusher, it was like 20 bucks.  Kind of a PITA to set up, but once clamped on solid it worked well, make sure to put some padding like leather or even the fuzzy part of velcro on the steel clamp blocks.  It works best on the flat sided slide like Glocks, but I managed to get it to work on an M&P9 with the cut slide.

Here's a review of the tool I have:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXXIigDMpR4

I bought mine was on closeout somewhere.  I think I paid like $35, normally they can be had for about $50.

The laser sights are usually the best, particularly those that are battery powered with arbors that can be multiple caliber. Just remember, you're sighting a ballistic path, not a straight laser point. You'll need to adjust the drop accordingly.

The sight pushers mentioned here are the best bet for drift type sights. They give you more control than a punch and luck. Unfortunately they also have a higher chance of messing up your dovetail cut due to the all of force they can create. Be very sure that you're pushing the sight itself and aren't catching the dovetail cut on a slide or front sight base.
