Black Friday 2025
« on: November 24, 2025, 12:12:56 PM »
Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any deals from the "usual suspects" that make me want to charge up a storm on my card.  I'm not sure if it's the tariffs, basic inflation, or just the fact that I'm stocked up on most everything I need right now . . .

If you guys have any "killer deals" that you've found, please post them here . . .

Larry

PS:  Advice for 2026:  The really good Black Friday deals didn't seem to come in until late Wednesday and on Thursday.  However, my inbox was flooded with "Almost Black Friday" deals for a month now.  They say "resistance in futile", but I would advise everyone to resist anyway.  I expect that the "After Black Friday" deals will be no worse than the "Before" ones . . . so waiting for the real deals to hit first should save folks a few bucks.

I have seen a few deals, but nothing noteworthy. I have also seen some price hikes the last 30 days on gear and goodies and in some cases the sales are still higher than 6 weeks ago. Kind of the new normal for black Friday I think.  This pic kind of sums that up.   :)

This isn't a Black Friday deal, but pretty good price on a clearance Vortex Sparc Solar model.  They had the regular Sparc on a 'daily deal' for $69 a few days ago.  Will probably return at that price at some point.  $89 isn't bad for a Vortex dot, but $69 is even better.  I almost grabbed one, but don't really have the need.

The LaRue trigger is my favorite budget trigger ($86.25, from list above):  https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1026396841?pid=582085&avad=194130_e4558bca9&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=155690&utm_campaign=194130&utm_content=NA

The Vortex StrikeFire Red / Green dot is my favorite low dollar optic ($100):  https://palmettostatearmory.com/vortex-strikefire-ii-red-dot-4moa-red-green-dot.html?avad=194130_c455a82f1&utm_source=Avantlink&utm_medium=Referral&utm_campaign=el

I may have to dig out the card for that first one!  I still have a couple of the StrikeFires from last Black Friday.

Harbor Freight has 50 cal ammo cans at $10 each (in store only):  https://www.harborfreight.com/metal-050-caliber-ammo-can-63750.html?utm_source=unknown&utm_medium=publitas&utm_campaign=harbor-freight-tools-black-friday-sale-2025&utm_content=Metal%200.50%20Caliber%20Ammo%20Can

I never put anything into long term storage without triple protection:  Metal storage cabinet, ammo can, and vacuum sealed.  So get these essential storage containers while they're cheap.

Larry

PS:  Apparently, club members can get this deal prior to Friday.

I needed to get a new battery for the Dodge today, so nothing extra for toys.  Still, I picked up 5 of the ammo cans from Harbor freight because I needed them..

Larry

PS:  I picked up the Battery from Fleet Farm, which had the cheapest price I could find on an "in stock" battery today . . . it turns the reason it was so cheap was that it WAS a Black Friday price!

I ended up ordering the Vortex SPARC SOLAR from PSA for $89.  These were a $300 optic back when they first came out, and Vortex still has the MSRP as $399 on their website, but obviously that's higher than actual retail even without a sale.

I went with the SPARC SOLAR instead of the SPARC AR because it can be mounted lower and weighs much less than the AR version.  The AR version houses the AAA battery under the optic, so you can only mount it low enough for 1/3 cowitness.  I plan to put this on the Turknelli 12gauge, so I wanted a low mount option for shotgun use.  I was hesitant about getting a solar powered sight, as I see that as another potential point of failure, but at least I can count on VORTEX's VIP warranty.

I don't have it yet, but it has nice features for $89.
-Shake Awake with auto turn off after 14 hours
-150,000 battery life (I'll probably swap batteries every couple of years regardless, but that's supposedly 15+years of battery life)
-flush windage and elevation adjustment for a slick profile.
-uses solar when possible, switches to battery in darkness.  Can be ran with no battery if you have ambient light.

Hopefully I get time to use it before Spring.

They still have them in stock:
