Deejo knife from France
« on: December 14, 2022, 11:09:04 AM »
Flo likes knives (and chain saws).
So I found this knife site in France, Deejo.com and order a couple unusual knives.
$9 shipping by FedEx.  Was hoping it would be delivered before Christmas.
Out for delivery today
Ordered a back up from WillowCreek (Texas) just in case.  Gold is up too high for Bullion.

Here is the tracking for the Deejo package.  7 hour difference in time from FR to US.  Absolutely unbelievable.

Delivered, in the middle of a downpour.
Wow, sure is purty.  Flo closeby, can't take picture.

Cool those are different, Tree one is neat, I like the Viking rune one they have too.  But the models they pick for suave masculinity are hilarious.

It's France :)

I'll have to wait to see if Flo likes them.
I just thought they were unusual.
Shipping from France was faster than gun parts from UTah :)

Funny you should mention a new French knife buy. A buddy of mine who I did a number of gun mod jobs for has on occasion stopped in to give me various gifts time to time. He knows my love of thin blade knives so he gave me this Frenchi made lock blade unit last month. Its very basic and simple but quite functional. Its 1.6 oz and the blade is only .018 thick at about 1/8th" back away from the edge. The only utility blade I have thats the most razor like. I hope your French made knives turn out to be of good quality, This one is cheap enough to buy so as to seed a few different areas with one!

Looks good for the price.
I went "Special" since it was a Christmas gift.
Wife collects knives.

It was really a surprise that shipping was so fast.

I picked up one of those on one of my trips to France.  Simple, functional, and well made.

Say what you will about France, but they seem to be pretty good with knives.  While I was in Atlanta I purchased a set of French gold tone steak knives (all my flatware was gold-just fulfilling a childhood claim :) ).  They turned out to be some of the best steak knives I've ever tried.  For Christmas 2021, I purchased a set of them for my brother, who loves to grill and loves his steak.  He loved them.  Says they cut through the biggest cuts of meat "like butter."  Good stuff.

Crap, now I made myself hungry again.

Edit to add: The brand is Laguiole

Hell, if we are going to talk French steel..... The Chashpot barrel blade is one of the most beautifuly crafted blades....Ever! Be tough to fit it into your pocket but the craftsman ship in this 1871 made unit is off the chart.
