SOG Nagant 'Sniper'

<< < (4/4)

Chip Hazard:
Yeah tell me about it.  I think just about everything is 'well used' at this point.

I have a pristine Yugo and decent Russian, so if the price is right I could use a few project guns to try to bring back to life.

Old Outlaw:
There you go.

I just have to say I've never cared much for SOG if you have to communicate one-on-one with them.

When you ask a question of them they either act like it's too much trouble to mess with to answer or it's about like asking a firearm question of someone that shows up to wait on you at the sporting goods section of Wally World. I don't think they really know much about what they sell.

I figure there is a person or two that is knowledgable and the rest are "hands and feet".

That said as long as you don't have to interact with them their stuff always got to me quick with no issues in that regard.

Chip Hazard:
I totally agree.  I also feel even though they were told what they were getting were authentic WWII 91/30 snipers, it was their responsibility and due diligence to actually check them out and verify them before listing them for sale.

SOG wasn't that bad when I spoke to the owner on the phone.  Other than the sales person giving bad information, they were polite and courteous.  The companies I wouldn't rate well for phone skills and customer interaction is Samco and believe it or not ClassicArms.  I think the problem with CA is that they are super busy, but still they don't need to sound so rushed and in a hurry to hang up.  All in all it won't keep me from ordering from CA though.  I haven't ordered from Samco yet but I have talked to them about inventory and condition.  I'd have to say the best phone service is J&G Sales.

Best phone service from a shooting -related company?

I would have to say either Sportsman's Guide or MidwayUSA......
