How to Put Stuff You Find in the Space You Have
« on: April 28, 2012, 10:25:24 AM »
You know how you never seem to have enough room? We'll my recent acqusitions raised a question fielded by my spousal unit, which is always the same question, "AND WHERE TO YOU THINK THOSES ARE GONNA GO?!!". But this time there was a degeee of validity. My delema was how to put 11 rifles in a 4 gun rack. This what I came up with. PAX

Oh, what I would give for a basement....

It's the only thing you can't really have here. :(

Actually, the basement is the "Man Cave" in my house.  We are moving all of our "crap" to a storage unit next month and that will become where me and Jr retreat to.  He'll have his drums on one side, along with my work/reloading bench and the odd gun locker, and the other side is food/ammo storage and the air rifle range.  They left the old window between the old house and the new addition, and it's exactly 50' from the window to the back wall.  I made a backstop from cardboard boxes packed with paper, packing foam, and styrofoam sheets.  It's so well insulated the wife never heard me when I popped off rat shot(old Winchester crimped type #12).  I already told her the old surround sound she doesn't use is going down there.

PAX, isn't it amazing what one can accomplish when the gears start rolling?   8)

As strange as it may seem, the community I live in has them.  Fully finished, no **** basements.  My unit doesnt, but my brother used to when he lived down the road and the building across the street has em.

No flooding yet, except during the hurricanes, but that was to be expected.  We are on the highest natural ridge south of 60, a whopping 42 feet above sea level.  If I go 200 yards from my house, were back to about 12, lol.

That was my first thought, before I got distracted looking at the guns themselves.

Thanks all. It's bolted in 4 places to studs, and being in Kali, they're interlocked with the sling webbing so they won't shake off below a 8.2. PAX
