Time to empty your safes

For all of you wanting to collect original Russians but don't have the cash to chase them down, empty your gun safes of the refurbs, replacement stocked rifles, numbers mismatched or anything else that is Russian and make up a good story and put it on GunBroker. Chances are it will sell for $400 and above, maybe $500 or more.
I am amazed at the prices run of the mill or worse Russians are bringing. I am also amazed that I can check an offering and spot the refurb that is claimed to be original in about 15 seconds. However that fact does not seem to get in the way of the bidding, especially if it has no reserve. The starting price and the no reserve seem to be the factors for lots of bids.
As far as activity on GB for May, it is slower than the April start. No real big dollar item yet and the choices are few for original rifles. The sales are usually above $400 no matter what it is. Of the 10 sold so far, only 1 under $400 and it was $381. OO placed a very nice 54 Izzy original for $750. It went with a Buy It Now bid and did not last very long.

I sometimes wonder if some of the sellers on GB know what their doing and act like they dont. And Or dont know what their doing and act like they do.
Sometimes we can tell the obvious. But others you gotta just shake your head and wonder :roll:

From what I see Kerry, some of those outfits that list fairly regularly play it both ways at certain times. Few ethics left there now a days because of the high prices.
