They just keep falling like that while the next rifle listed above or below has a starting price of $379 and is just as good as if not better than the one that just went for $555 never even gets the opening bid. There are just a whole lot of people who do not know very much if anything about what a collectable Russian SKS is are paying some pretty fancy prices for what most of us would only pay $350-375 for. Rush to get them while you can or just name buying is all that I can see is having such an impact, almost overnight in terms of the long term Russian market, of why these type rifles are drawing the premium bids.
But, if you are really into having a Russian, what is an extra $100-150 if you are intent on getting one and coming to this forum to show it off. You will be welcomed and learn a lot, some of which you did not want to know. :roll: That's what happened to me a couple of years ago when I got my $500 + blackbolt 53 refurb which Marcus now owns at a very reasonable and realistic price. Oh, woe the truth. :shock:

Been lots of "head shakers" & "eye roller's" lately. This one was a high Izzy price not 4 months ago. Nice rifle, but wow.

Pretty happy to be done (for the most part) collecting SKS's.

Yes BB, that was about the price of my basic education to the SKS world. With the help of of lot of guys like yourself my education fast forwarded and I was able to see the worth of a few hard to get ones. I needed more cash a year or so ago to be able to have snapped up some very good buys. However the price of poker has gone up. :shock: I guess I wil lhave to wait for the penny ante game to come around again.
