Got a call from my buddy at the local Supercenter that they had .223 back in stock(finally). Hopped in the car, and booked it over. He called me about 4PM my time, as soon as he had it in his hand. I got there about 5PM due to the ATM deciding it didn't like me. In that hour, the counter was wrapped up. They had:
3 420 round cans of Federal Lake City 62gr M855
5 100 round boxes of Federal Bulk 55gr
50 boxes of Federal American Eagle 55gr
10 boxes Hornady 55gr Zombie-max
The 3 cans went first to ONE man. Another got the 5 bulk packs. Zombie-max went next between 2 people. I looked at him, and flashed "10" on the Am Eagle. Pizzed one guy off, because he wanted it all, but the SG Manager limited each person to 200 rounds on the American Eagle(10 boxes). I beat it over to the other Wal-mart, and they only got 500 rounds of Am Eagle, so it was a 3 box limit per customer. Got 3 more, and had the wife get 3 on her card. It all went in the can. She is getting her disability re-evaluated, and hoping that comes through next month. If it does, we are looking at a 6 month back-pay check, and she's already said I get that for ammo.
Until now, she thought I was joking about ammo. When a fist fight almost erupted over 200 rounds, her eyes were opened. Local shop is around $1 more than Wal-mart per box, but they keep the shelves stocked. They also give me the hook-up when I volunteer on Saturdays/evenings. Looks like they will be seeing me more.
