Prince50's front Sight is used to convert a non-para into a para length.

Will it fit on a Paratrooper model?

Yes; in fact , the intent of the product was pretty much to provide the tinkerer who wants to do a barrel cut with ability to fit a front sight without having to try to turn the barrel to fit the original sight.

Darin Prince is a good guy, and he has created a few products that fill the needs of the milsurp community quite well. 8)

Thanks for the good words, guys...

However, the P50 sight will not fit on an existing paratrooper, as the barrel has been turned too small. I am going to make a few in the next run with the proper ID to fit an existing paratrooper without a sight.

Thanks

DID this ever get done as I would be interested in having one installed on my norinco m paratrooper?

I have been in contact with P50 about a sight for my paratrooper, as it is currently missing one from a PO's bubba handiwork.

He did message me stating he could make one with the smaller ID, but I haven't heard back from him in a few weeks. I'm sure life is just in the way right now. I've sent him two or 3 messages regarding the sight. Hopefully he'll reply back before tomorrow...I might just go scope if I can't repair the bubba handiwork in a timely manner.

My main reason for wanting one is the fact the it had the open hood front sight like an ak. I don't really like the hooded front sight the sks provides. I feel it leaves alot to be desired.

Yay! I almost pulled the trigger (no pun intended) and got a railed receiver to mount a scope. Glad I waited!
