Thanks maloy! Guess it was me that was mistaken.

But there are cases where it does make a difference. If the hammer spring has been in the gun for 40 to 50 years and maybe took a set, or if a previous owner shortened it to try for a better tr pull, or if someone has employed a Wolff 27.5 lb hammer spring, misfires with the Berdan primed stuff can begin to happen. But we have a cure for that. We had Wolff make us some 31 lb hammer springs, and customers are reporting great success at stopping misfires. (our testing proved the same) It still allows a better felt tr pull than the factory original 34 lb spring, but ignites any and all ammo successfully.
