Today was a good day. I have had my son for the past two weeks and today we went out shooting!
I took him out to the mesa set up a table (scrape wood in backyard), put some small sandbags on it (old rags and sometime sewing),
and shot about 125 rnds ($25), equals great memories and a doh! moment.
My son turned three on the 26th last month, always been talking about shotguns, all guns are shotguns in his vocab btw. So we hopped in the caravan with the boys and made a good morning of it. He was shooting the .22 laying on the bags while I sat behind him holding the butt. He would look through the scope, then pull his head up then shoot. Surprisingly enough he managed to take down three crown royal bottles. It took him 18 rnds to do it and it was within 25 yards but hey, I was not let down, methods aside. After it was empty he loaded it one more time, did a pretty rapid fire, despite me yelling at him not to. I reached forward and pushed the safe and explained that he wants to take his time to aim and hit a target. He acknowledged and finished the tube of bullets. After that, he picked up his breach loader over under shotgun and proceeded to shoot the clouds, bushes and cars as he saw fit. I asked him a while later if he wanted to shoot the .22 again and he said his was way better, so that's OK with me. I want to find a little one for him now. I saw someone else got a lil pink one for his lil princess on here so I'm going to do the same I think. Time to start shopping. But the pink won't fly I'm sure. lol
As for the doh moment I remembered to bring everything to shoot and shoot with except my camera, which isn't too bad considering my phone has a 2 meg camera on it. As I am accessing the camera function, it beeps at me and said it needs to be recharged. @#$%!!

Wait, I have the car charger in the middle compartment!
But I took the truck and not the car. DOH!!
epic fail.
