Bent Firing Pin
« on: August 17, 2012, 12:27:02 PM »
I was taking some new shooters to the range and one of the new guys called me over. He had been shooting my Yugo with Murry's firing pin when this happened. Not 100% what went down, but it sounds like a popped primer, Firing pin must have slipped the retaining pin, it jumped 'bolt' along with the firing pin spring. The spring was mangled and it got lost in my range bags so unfortunately I don't have photos of that.  :banghead:

Originally had the Murry's Deluxe Firing pin make over done by him, he had polished up this bolt face & the bolt face did not look like it does now. Anyway, I'd like to get my Yugo back up and running with a new murry pin (and a new retaining pin installed!) not sure what I need to do. Thanks!

Work and FP are guaranteed so just ship it to us and we'll take care of it. Yep, looks like a severe case of popped primer(s).

Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you feed it junk ammo, why should you expect filet mignon results?

Do I need to mail any paperwork or information relating to this thread? I never had the retaining pin replaced, but would like to do so now, can I include the $6 for that?

Trasi may have PMd ya, but just include a mention of your screen name, name and address to return ship to as outside of package can get handled roughly, and the 6 bucks (cash, check, or MO) for the RP if you really want one. They seldom get damaged enough to require replacement, but it's your gun.
