Looking for surplus powder ??

Looking to buy some WC844 anybody got a good site ??  I found some but can't seem to find them again.. :banghead:

That's the problem with surplus powder. It comes and goes and sometimes has larger lot-to-lot variations than commercial canister powder. It is cheap though.
I would work up a load using canister powder that you can buy easily so you have a backup to WC844. The logical choice would be the very similar H-335 that can be found locally or online.

Widener's will notify you when it is back in stock if you click on that option.
However you probably should re-work up your load again because it would be a different lot and those wider swings in burn rate can come into play.

surpluspowder.com didn't look to see if it was in stock though.

Just loaded up 50 rounds with 25 gr of WC844 surplus powder will shoot them tomorrow..  .223 rem 55 gr bullet

Shot the surplus powder today and couldn't tell the difference shot the same as H335.. But at half the price...got enough for over 4400 rounds.

I wish somebody sold that powder local I like H335 in my 30-30 cast bullet loads and I would learn to like it with J bullets in my 7.62 x 39 loads as well for that price.   I just need to find 3 other individuals locally to do a group buy otherwise I don't save anything over what I can buy H335 locally for.
