Buttstock Pouch for Ruger 10/22 -request for comments
« on: May 05, 2013, 02:25:21 PM »
I'm working on a buttstock pouch for the Ruger 10/22 and have a few questions.

For the people that use the 10-shot rotary mag, how many do you normally carry? 1,2,3 or more?

For the people using the BX-25 round mag: There is some interest in having a buttstock pouch for the mag but personally think it's a bit large and bulky to ride on the stock, but would like some input on this. Please hold a BX25 parallel to your stock and image it being mounted there. Is it too bulky? Will it impede your ability to shoot?

Thanks

I just tried with a BX-25 rubber banded to the stock, and I didn't find it uncomfortable. As far as the ten rounders, I usually carry four or five, but that's to the range. I imagine you could carry more ammunition, and in loaded magazines to boot, using the ten rounders in a buttstock pouch.
