I doubt there will be any roadblocks in Arkansas, either.  Much less "Mexican roadblocks".  Ajax, is this just something you conjured up yourself, or is there active talk on such roadblocks?

We had them leaning out into the road waving signs a few weeks ago. It would not take much for things to get ugly here. (Arizona) Maybe this thread should be restricted to those who might be affected? You don't live where I do, you DON'T understand it. I didn't before I moved here. It's a complex issue. I'm with Foul though-I get threatened with weapons, I open fire. I do not expect it will get that bad, although I do expect protests. Driving a company vehicle, I am also bound by what will reflect on them also...

They may try it here.  I don't think our local LEO's will put up with much.  This is a quiet town and we like it that way.

These protests are well planned and orchestrated, they are not spontaneous as some would have us all think.  I really doubt they are going to do something as stupid as commit violence as it will solidify opinion against them in this country.  So the chances anyone will have to shoot their way out of a crowd of illegals protesting is about as much as hitting a big payout on a slot machine IMO.

I didn't say that there isn't any violence,  I meant as a group they are not going to use that, at least yet. They are not going to go nuts and riot for example.  There are more assaults at pro football games than has been at these several hundred thousand people rallies.    For instance in Dallas a couple weeks ago "Police estimated the crowd at 350,000 to 500,000. There were no reports of violence."  That isn't normal for such a large group and an issue that is emotional to so many.

That isn't to say there won't be violence on a larger scale than a single assault at some point,  there are some on the illegals side that are chafing for a fight as well as many of those who make the opposition to them.

I'm getting really antsy about tomorrow.  My girlfriend's mom is friends with some illegals here, and she will be marching with them .  I talked to my gf about it, and told her I was nervous about the whole protest thing, but since she wont be at the protest I'm not going to push anything.

Now since there are only about 4k Mexicans in my county (out of a total of roughly 125k) there really isn't much danger of anything happening. But out of that 4k, 1k participated in a march through downtown last week.

Reguardless, I'm not going to be defenseless tomorrow.
