I guess I'll have to turn him on when they rerun his show later.  He's normally to Bush is God for me so I don't watch but I'll make an exception.

i saw on the local news that the turnout out the 'protest' here in louisville was 500 people.  500 . . . .   the louisville metro area has nearly a million residents . . . .

the protest participants they interviewed on the news were largely incoherent and on a whole, they looked like jackasses begging to get in the cookie jar.

obviously not a success :D .

P.S.  note to protestors (if you can read english):  'wife-beater' t-shirts probably aren't the best attire if you want someone to actually take you seriously        :P

It's hard to estimate crowd size, but I think I heard them say we had 20,000 protesters here in San Antonio yesterday.

Across the nation, it was no doubt in the millions.

Just imagine what those folks could accomplish in their OWN COUNTRY if they stood up like that and demanded reform from corruption.

Well they had their fame for a day, now its back to work.
I stopped off at Wal-mart last night on way home from work and to my surprise at 9:30 pm I saw mexicans shopping in there! (non-english speaking type)
And they call themselves Americans! Guess they did not get the memo!

The radio news and CNN is reporting over a million nationwide.

Current population of the US:  295,734,134

So it's a small percentage/fraction of the actual pop.

Little to no impact here, other than the local nicos taco shop being closed in "sympathy". the R&R Pizza did double business, and the owne laughed, said some "Mexican thing" was driving her business through the roof. She'll get more of my business - Nicos will not.
Protests here were much smaller than anticipated, and caused little to no disruption in Tucson, that I am aware of.

Yeah the mexican food places here closed except one of them.
They all lost my business too.
Mexican food is not hard to make at home and at least I know what is going in it.

I thought it was horse.  That's why my nachos don't taste the same - dog is the special ingredient!

Seriously, though, the ranchers (if you can call them that) in my area sell Grade D beef to the Mexican restaurants.  Your flank/skirt steak in those fajitas is not exactly grade A meat, just so you know.  I didn't know it went that far - Grade D.

Heard this morning that Atlanta was expecting about 30k to show, but instead only got 2, 500-4,000, depending on who you ask.

Sounds a bit like a bust from what I was expecting, especially with the number of hispanics in the area.
