New wheels for the Wife!
« on: June 29, 2022, 11:33:02 PM »
Finally sold the 8 acre pasture lot behind the car and traded a 2010 RAV4 in for this 2021 Mazda CX30. It's mid level AWD Preferred and only had 5800 miles on it. Its actually a bright metallic dark blue in the sun. Nice little cars with alot of safety bells & whistles. Its really perfect for her running around to her Home Instead clients in her job. So far I'm impressed with how whisper quiet this car is going down the road at any speed.

Nice!  Mazdas are underrated IMO but have always been Honda/Toyota contenders.

Xman,

Love the new ride!

Mazda are great cars, but they use weak Jatco(?) transmissions:  You'll want to make sure you change the fluid and filter every 50-60K.  Don't believe the manual when it says it has lifetime fluid, as the "lifetime" might not be as long as you would like.  Transmissions are expensive, fluid changes are cheap.  Also, you might have one of those newfangled transmissions w/o a dipstick.  In that case when you change the fluid, measure and replace exactly what you take out.  Oh, and use the factory fluid.

Enjoy the new ride!

Thanks guys.  As to the Trans, these newer 2012 & up Mazda's use a in house Mazda 6 speed. Iv read those older jadco ones were not very good transmissions. These new Mazda designed & build 6 speed autos are about as good as it gets. Silky smooth shifts and very responsive to keep the 2.5 4 banger in its git n go torque range.  I'm very impressed with it. Can't kick about the 31 mpg Hiway rating either  8)
