Hello Members,
I am msgt1030. The username is from my military career of 40 yrs. I retired from the USAF in 2010 on my 60th birthday. I had much more to give. They did not see it that way!! I was drafted in 1969, 5 months out of high school. During the 40 yrs. I did 6.5 yrs. of active duty. I was in both US Army and USAF national guard units. I had the opportunity of learning a few different military jobs. Combat Engineer, Aircraft Refueler, Egress Specialist, Security Police and Medical Laboratory Specialist. I was also a Chicago Police Officer in the early 2000s. I deployed multipole times to Iraq and Afghanistan over the 20 yr. war.
I studied Clinical Laboratory Science in college earning a Bachelor of Science degree. I worked in many hospital laboratories, utilizing my job to live in many different places in the USA.
My wife and I have 7 grown children. We both retired from working in 2017. I enjoy my retirement doing home maintenance, casting bullets for reloading,
shooting, practicing the trumpet and loving 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Thank you for this opportunity of introducing myself.
MSgt. Michael A. La Giglia, USAF (Ret)
