That looks great grouster! Like if an sks and mp5 got together and had a baby  Laughing Is it me or is did you shorten up the front end? (the handguard looks very short, but I cant be sure from the pic) That looks like some interesting work!

Thanks, old scope mount has been replace with choate mount, new scope is coming with dragunov reticle  Laughing


BullyHouse, that brake was custom made from Rick ( also a board member, he makes all kind of brake for sks)

Yeah, if you want a dragunov, get the Choate stock rather then the ATI! I had the ATI a long time ago and did not like it....Here are pics of my two bubs:

Wow, great job.  That's got to be one of the best modified SKS I have seen yet.

The Choate is definitely the way to go... even though I wound up buying the ATI for cost reasons.  Particularly, the way the handguard fits with the stock is much better looking than the ATI.  Plus, it has a more rounded (and to me, more pleasing) look.  FWIW, the ATI required quite a bit of finishing to remove the sharp bits left over from molding, one of which actually cut me while I was doing it.

I'll post a photo of mine when I can get a better photo, although my avatar has a small version of it already.
