economic collapse

I went with economic collapse.  While its true that our pols got us in this mess, they won't be able to get us out when SHTF.  We saw this with Katrina & Rita.  The real tsunami heading our way is economic in nature.  If countries like China, Japan, Saudi Arabia & S. Korea ever decide to switch to Euros, we're toast.  They are funding our debt and keeping us afloat.  Our country is one big economic bubble waiting to burst.  Stock market, housing market, energy, etc.  You name it and we're way hung out.  While the pols got us here along with our own lack of responsibility, we all won't be in the same boat when it hits the fan.  The pols will take care of themselves and the rest of us will be somewhere between Katrina & Rita & 9/11.  Better hope you don't have any debt.  However it will be a great time to buy just about anything for real cheap.

And where did politicians get the power to do and keep right on doing what they do? See my previous post.

I was going to vote Economic Collapse, but it's actually crooked politicians that have pushed it to that point.  :?

Exactly.  Part of the reason America has traditionally done so well economically is because we were "young", "fresh", and "exciting".  Our currency and our markets were the up and coming winners compared to the "old guard" Europeans.

Now the tables are turned.  The Europeans have achieved exactly what they wanted.  By going to the Euro, they have tied together their economies and made Europe and up-and-coming superpower, at least economically.  It's only a matter of time before the rest of the world starts to realize that Europe is now the "young", "fresh", and "exciting" economy, and the USA is the "old guard".  They'll dump us like a hot potato, our markets will crash, and we'll be left holding a paper sack.
