Springfield Model 234
« on: October 10, 2007, 07:45:43 PM »
I recently acquired a Springfield Model 234 .22 bolt action rifle at a farm auction.  I have done a lot of research and have only found 1 mention of it on the web ( http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_value_of_a_Savage_Springfield_Bolt_Action_22_Model_234 ).  I was wondering if anybody here has heard of, has one, or has any info on them.
The barrel is 20" long w/ an OD of 5/8", OA length is 39", the magazine is 5 rounds
It looks like a Savage-Stevens Model 73 (pg. 357 of the Gun Traders Guide 30th Edition), only the for end of the stock is vertical, and not rounded back like on the Model 73.

Any info would be appreciated
