AG Galesi .25 re-finishing project

It is a Florida Firearms Corp. - Miami, Fla.
Also stamped "AG" Galesi - Made in Italy - 25 Cal.

I am sure it was branded by other importers as well, here are some pics, I cannot get the slide off, any suggestions?  I am going to sand blast it and re-blue it.

Found this, may help?

I have the Armi Galesi .25 in my collection, I think they all come apart about the same.

- Remove the magazine and clear the chamber.
- Push the slide to the rear until the safety cut in the lower edge aligns with the pivot point of the safety lever. Trun the safety lever all the way to the rear, this will release the takedown latch.
- With the slide about 1/8" back of it's normal closed position, lift up at the rear to clear the top of the barrel. Push the slide forward and remove it and the recoil spring.
- The firing pin, spring, and spring guide will fall out of the slide somewhere during this process, pick them up from the floor and the pistol is field stripped.

Got it re-blued but now I can't get the slide retainer pin back in all the way through

What did you do for bluing?

My buddy who is a gunsmith gave me a small vial of cold blue, not sure of the brand but he said it was the best to use, I also have some of the Walmart stuff, I went over it a couple times with both.

I agree, that is the first thing I thought.  I sand blasted it with a fine metal media, it gave it a deep satin finish, so the blue took very well and because of the satin/brushed finish the flatness gives it that parked look, I am very pleased.

Go tacticool! Get a can of OD green Duracote and oven bake it,it'll look neat and never rust! And you'll have plenty left over for another project...

I haven't tried the duracoat or other bake on finishes, I'd like to at some point for a couple of my guns and parts, this whole project from blasting to blue took me about 1 hour.
