How to date my new /316\ SKS

Hey guys well i lucked up and one of my buddies cut me a real good deal on a Chinese sks.
It has the /316\ factory code with serial# 18,xxx,xxx is there anyway to date this sks?
Ive seared yooper and simonov to no avail am i looking over somthing ? Im just curious how old the rifle is.

You should be able to get a general idea by looking at the various features

The amount of machining on the receiver and various parts, milled versus stamped parts, type of bayonet, etc.

I dont know how to tell if its milled or stamped but it has a spike bayonet.

Pinned or screwed with a barrel collar?
Short collar or long collar?
Sand cuts in bolt carrier?
Milled area on inside rear area of reciever?
Spike or blade ferrel?
Norinco sks
Winchester sks
Navy arms sks
Colt sks
Remington sks Because it says so on the rifle.

Ah pinned barrel late production thanks guys. Hey but for  $200 with an extra 30 rd mag i cant complain.

Hey;

...I'm "New" here, but found this "Thread" as I was searching on Google; yours is a "Factory 316," then? Mine too; and...my serial number seems to be a little bit later on in production; rather a "Close" match; maybe they are "Cousins?" ho, ho...No, but - interesting...as, I'm still new, trying to find out all that I can...I'm actually more in pursuit of my SKSs "Ancestry" than I am of my OWN "Families" genealogy; shame on me? Heck no! lol...

Sadly Chef, the factory 26 SKS's are the only Chinese that are easily dated.
