Cetme T-6 Stock
« on: January 21, 2010, 09:58:49 PM »
Does Tapco still make the CETME T-6 stock? I have a CETME and foolishly bought  a T-6 stock for a G3 or HK91. I swear I read somewhere that people used them on their CETME with no problems. I couldn't find anybody selling ones specifically made for the CETME, so I assumed that the G3 / HK91 version was the right one. It isn't. The angle is different for the buffer and such. Does Tapco still make the CETME version? Is there a way to make the HK version fit without compromising the quality of it? I would love to send it to Tapco to exchange it for the CETME version if possible (hint hint wink wink).

It's a pretty easy fix! If you have the HK guide rod assembly, buffer, etc you just have to sand the guide ring (plastic washer) at the end of the GR /spring a few 1000th of an inch until it fits your bolt carrier or if your using the Cetme GRA you have to mod the hole to fit the Cetme buffer.

Your best be it to get a compleat HK assembly.

I have a Century CETME, so I only have the CETME buffer and assembly. Does the "complete" HK assembly in that link include an HK buffer too? If not I will need to find one as well huh?

Yes you would need the buffer and other small parts. It would be a little cheaper If just got the whole set from http://www.dansammo.com/odds.asp (bottom of the page) It comes with everything. stock, foregrip, pistol grip, GRA, buffer, sling, cleaning kit....

I went to Dan's Ammo and bought a HK stock set to get the backplate/buffer assembly and I am glad I did. HK did some improvements on the design for sure, but it did take a bit of sanding to get the rod into the bolt carrier. It also came with a leather sling and a cleaning kit. I will have to do some fitting if I want to use the handguard as it doesn't go up far enough for the push pin to clear the barrel. Gives me an excuse to hang out in the garage and play with the dremmel I guess. Thanks guys.
