The Tapco mags are very friendly for use of this mod, compared to other aftermarket detachable SKS mags...
Others that were not very functionally reliable to begin with.

LG nailed it. There isn't enough "meat" on most of the duckbills to be of any use. The Tapco mags were designed for this type of mod. The Tapco's have enough meat in the tabs to be reliable and sturdy. Marcus

If he is like me regarding my last duckbilless project stock...nothing happened to it.
The idea is to have a DEDICATED stock & mag(s) that can have a SKS dropped into it to create a REVERSABLE duckbilless mag using gun.
There is no downside to such a approach (if worked out favorably).

P.S -I would think that even with the adapter Marcus is marketing, a spare stock to set it in would be a pretty good idea. I think the value of spare stocks may increase.

That's exactly what Galahad and I did for one of his rifles. We took the numbs matching stock off and set it aside. Put one of the adapters in a "junker' as he called it.
