Duck-Bill-Less is the wave of the future for the SKS.

(1/1)

Vegas Dave:
I got to shoot my sks for the 1st time today... YAAAAA!!! HOOOOO!!!  Man! did I have fun.

I have a chinese in a black TAPCO Intrafuse SKS Rifle System w/ Rail and some 20rnd Tapco mags and both the stock and mags have had the Marcus mod done to them.  Boy is this gun a lot of fun to shoot.  The mags SNAP into the receiver with a nice "CHUNK" sound that tells me they are in and ready to go.  After about 7 mags changes, I was very comfortable with the way these modded mags snapped in, and I can't imagine how the full bill mags would be to handle and change.  I am one very happy Duck-Bill-Less SKS shootin fool

Thank You Marcus.

The lock-up is by far the most "positive" of any gun I own.  You hear that "chunk" and you know you are ready to go.

When you say, "wave of the future", you are not kidding.  The SKS in original form is a fine, fine rifle and I recommend leaving any nice collectibles in original form.  But you can also convert your collectible without any permanent mods and have a total transformation to a highly versatile firearm..... and then back again if you like.

Once you've shot a DBL, you'll know that Stalin's decision to forgo the detachable mag on the Simonov was lacking foresight.  I know that there have been many attempts to make an ergonomic detachable for the SKS over the years, but this combination of the Magadapter latch point and Tapco reliability are so good that it leaves one to wonder why it took so long!!

TY VG for the kind words. Glad you are a happy camper. The "CHUNK" sound is reassuring isn't it? You know the mag is "locked home". How much "turn" of the screw did it take to tune the mag? May I use your comment in the "Testimonial" section of my website? OH, and tell your friends about the adapter...
Marcus

Got a pic of Gibson-GM firing the Duckbilless for the first time.  First time he ever did a mag swap on the fly and seemed to have no trouble whatsoever.

Round count on the ultra-drop-free bolt is now up to 530.  I think I can trust that it isn't going to blow up now.

Sounds good Martin. I never had any questions anyway. I knew it would work perfectly. Marcus
