I have a Norinco Chinese SKS.  I got rid of the wood stock a long time ago.  It wasnt even fit to burn as firewood.  For a while I had an ATI Monte Carlo stock, but is was heavy, cumbersome, awkward, uncomfortable, and the cheek weld screwed up my line of sight.

The only modification to the rifle is a U.S. made AK-74 style MB.

So I see my choices (correct me if Im wrong) as sporter types from:

- Ramline - not a real big fan of this one
- Choate
- Butler Creek

I have and will be either keeping my stock fixed 10rd mag or getting one of the Tapco 10rd fixed mags.
My gun did not come with a bayonet.  I bought it years ago, so I ground off the 2 ears on the bayonet lug, so you could not mount one.

I dont want to go back to the wood, not a huge wood fan on rifles to begin with, ad I dont like the fit of the SKS original stocks.  The Tapco stock doesnt appeal to me.

The stock I would really like to get is the ATI Dragunov stock.

So what are you Kali guys using, and what are my options, am I good to go with the Dragunov?

Thanks?

First off, you appear to be in compliance with California's laws.

Second, you are not in compliance with Federal law (922r).

Please read further in this section (SKS Legal Issues) regarding 922r compliance, and/or go to http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/index.php

Personally, I wouldn't take that rifle to a firing range in its current condition.
