Might be a Sino Soviet. Look below the wood line for a light triangle. I had one that had no triangle either, but the powers that be told me I just could not see it.

The info you posted is in fact the importer.

It might have missed the arsenal stamp.

Is it blade bayonet? Side sling swivel?

There is a triangle just below the front of the bolt on the reciver, there is another mark on the left side of the barrel it looks like a A with a arrow sort of through it and a half moon under the a, will send pics as soon as I figure out how to. Front sling holder is on the left side on the barrel. Thank you

Sounds like a Sino. Where is the stock sling swivel located?

The word "China" is a dead giveaway that it is a Chinese SKS.

Never mind me!  How to post pics.

I know where the front sling holder is, but where is the rear sling swivel?

On the bottom or on the side?

Still need PICS!

Any chance for pics, dogwarden?

The bottom rear sling swivel and the spike bayonet are post-1965 features.  But that does not mean that the gun was built prior to that.  I have a 1964 Paratrooper that came with the converted late features when the gun was reconfigured for commercial distribution.

In other words, the four digit serial on your gun (7412) could still denote a first year production Sino-Soviet.

Pictures would go a long way toward settling the inquiry.

So a rear sling swivel on the buttom of a stock cut for a blade bayonet means the Chinese stock was made after 1965?
