I have had one for years. I think it is the most underrated bolt action 308 available.

 special select ,  it was cheap enough so I went with it, I have bought from Samco before there rating system is very very good , if you buy a fare gun , you can expect a good to very gun, their shipping is slow but will worth the wait

I ordered a "special select" one also and am waiting for it to get here.  I've been trying to decide what ammo to shoot thru it as I want to keep the loads light because of the guns age and design.  I'll probably just use some Brown/Silver ammo.   It's not one I'll probably shoot a lot but it's one I've wanted to add to my collection for some time.

I have found that using a wood conditioner works well with old dried out stocks. It allows the stain to spread more evenly and eliminates the dark spots and light areas.
