Made a couple of phone calls this afternoon.  The Yugo M67 is gone.  Whatever the suppliers have is it.  I called Wideners, AIM, and 2 local shops I order through.  All 4 gave me the same answer:  The suppliers are out, kaput, no more.

Ovously they have never heard of the internet!!!

Most these places have only one supplier by contract, so doesn't mean there isn't any out there...

hehe....one of my suppliers locally ONLY deals with the internet.  Small time FFL running out of his garage.  He has accounts with more than one supplier.

I ordered a case from Wideners on stripper clips last week on Old Outlaw's suggestion and a couple others. Got it in on Wednesday along with a dirty look from the wife! (Worth it) Glad I went ahead and got it now.......thanks Outlaw!
Also, how can you tell the manufacture date? May be a stupid question......

It will be on the front of the wood case, for example  8901-03 which means 1989, 1 of March.

I've been buying and stashing ammo for years 7.62x39, 8mm, 8x56r, .22, 308 and 30-06.
There have been occasional blips, but the prices just keep trending upwards.
I was resorting this afternoon...some boxes still had the business orders:  8mm Yugo 900 case $74, 8x56r 300 round case $48.
Buy it when you can, stash it...and shoot it!

Got me thinking don't tell any of these big gun places about internet sites, there's a place here in Oregon that builds semi auto 50, made the mistake of asking them why they weren't carrying 50 AP surplus ammo, the guy I was talking to stated there wasn't any in the USA...

Mentioned Ammoman was carrying Surplus AP and I noticed a couple weeks later that they was carrying it and Ammoman was out...And lone behold they raised the prices, way higher than Ammoman had them...

doubt it. but be sure to pay extra because they say so.

I'm really surprised at some of the responses. Some of you know me and some don't. I look for ammo deals, it's a hobby of mine. Well sickness really. Old Outlaws warnings about the status of the Yugo M67 is legit. It is going away. Yes some places have some stashed away. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like ammoman come out with some later, he's always finding stuff in corners he didn't know he had. He does it so often I'd love to see the building he has because it must be a warehouse made of corners.

Bottom line is you don't have to believe what anyone ones says at Widener's, Aim, The-Armory or ammoman to see what the market is telling you. The production dates are later and later, hence depleted older stocks and prices have been on a steady rise since late summer. When I talked to Bryan the president of AIM in Sept. about this I asked if he was going to get anymore of the strippered Yugo and he said they had kicked his order back due to lack of product. This was the overseas importer. Why would they run out of the strippered ammo? Because it's for the SKS and not many armies use it anymore and they don't make it anymore. He hasn't had any since and he'd ordered six skids of it. At the same time he ordered 8 containers of the non-strippered stuff which is what has just sold out after he sent an email around warning that his supply was getting low last week. I guess it was true.

He also recently said he's not planning on ordering anymore anytime soon because though there is some left overseas it's way to expensive. The-Armory ran out about a month ago and have no more coming from what I've heard and Widener's the cheapest retailer at the moment just sent out a warning in their emailer that their supply is running low too. I guess they mean it too. Now there is some places that have this stuff, like Samco Global. You can get it from them for $326/1260rds or $256/1120rds on strippers. That's before shipping. They have it because they have had some of the highest prices for a long time. The same goes for other places too and they have it mostly because they charge so much for it. The point is it's going away and the inexpensive M67 is mostly gone.

Thank You Weldon. I was hoping you would come on with the latest information which only you have because of your ammo web site. I know supplies are not inexhaustible, as some seem to think about true Military ammo. But, as far as I can tell, there is no other true Military ammo for sale or even being imported in the X39. I was simply pointing out that any one whom likes the M67 better start looking closely now at availability and prices.

Again, thank you Weldon for posting tonight!

Thanks, Weldon.

Actually, this thread reminds me of the .303 discussion on another board years back.  Wonder what the naysayers are doing now?
