Do you have a Sneaky rifle?

Turn4811:
I have the VZ2008 with the folding stock. It has spent some time as the "truck gun" also.

StrangeRanger:
Any AR can be carried in a not-ready-for rapid-deployment mode in a pretty innocuous looking piece of luggage simply by sliding out the pins and carrying it in two pieces, the longest of which is about 25" with a 16" barrel.

For rapid deployment why not a gun case built to look like a guitar or cello case.  At something like 48" overall, you could carry anything in one

Nothing that's not of legal length. Side folder 10/22 shortest OAL.

A stock SKS can be broken down for dedicated storage. It's not likely you'll run into a situation where you'd have to "whip-out" your rifle. Takes like what, 10 seconds to assemble & load? If it's come down to that, does it really matter? PAX

Scratch:
Do "pistols" count?
19.5" for my 5.56 pistol with the Law FSA.

Thanks for the input so far. I've been working on a padded backpack style gun case that converts into a chest rig. The outside is non-descript but when opened you can get at your rifle and an assortment of pouches.  After usage you just reverse the folding process tuck your rifle back in and walk away :)
