The Yugo polymer buttstock was sold without a recoil pad, so I created one using a hardwood spacer and an original Yugo SKS recoil pad.

I have finished the new universal Picatinny folding stock. This Yugo AK-47 hardwood buttstock fits the SKS stock perfectly

I found an original buttpad for the polymer buttstock that came with the Yugo AK Snake Skin set. The total cost, including shipping, was $35, which is a reasonable deal.

The Snake Skin buttstock features a hole-less rubber buttpad.

Another Picatinny rail adapter for the SKS stock has been created. It accepts all standard AK-47 buttstocks and is fixed for now. The folding mechanism will be added later.

The "Universal AK-47 Buttstock" project is complete and can be connected to any rifle with a Picatinny rail, including SKS.

The buttstock has been shortened by milling and cutting the front, achieving the standard SKS length of pull.

Another build is nearly complete: the Yugo receiver with a Russian barrel. The front sight has been modified using an AK-47 part. A few shims were added to properly align the barrel with the receiver.

The SKS rifle build is complete. I used all original parts, though the serial numbers do not match, and added a new aftermarket Albanian wooden stock.

Nicely done.  With the AK front sight, it actually looks just a little more streamlined.

AK FSBs are taller than an SKS FSB, did you do anything to verify and correct the height variance between the front and rear sights?

Raising the rear sight makes it easy to line up with the AK-47 FSB.
