All Chinese industry supports the PLA, so even buying Vortex or other US brands that are made there or source components in factories there you are doing that. Lets not kid ourselves.  Kind of like any tech that comes from their is required by their law to be enabled to serve their espionage purposes, Nokia and tiktok are examples.  We use it for our own purposes, but every industry in China is in the end controlled by the govt at least to some extent and supports their military.

I do agree, with the track record of Chinese spying, that Sig should be required divesting from them if they are going to hold military contracts if for nothing more to limit access, and I don't care how compartmentalized they are.  I know many DOD contract companies deal with China for source, we are laying foundation for our own destruction, both militarily and publicly because we have become dependent on cheap goods to propel the economy.

On the other hand there is some irony in that Chinese hardware will certainly be used to kill Chinese if it comes to it, which is the same thing we have suffered for years.
